Requirements:
• Stabilize chemical pump out flow when filling pressure changes
• Ensure the highest accuracy for the dosing process
• Protect the pump when the outlet pressure exceeds the pump's thrust capacity.
Operation conditions:
• Any change in the pressure at the filling point
• The metering pump is installed with the need for accurate and safe filling of the equipment.
• Chemical free of residues or pump suction end fitted with a filter
• In the following cases, a back-pressure valve can be installed:
Structure of Back pressure valve/ Relief valve:
How to use and install the Back pressure valve/Relief valve:
• Setting:
o Threshold setting: 0.3 – 10 bar
o Adjust screw to desired pressure
o Tightening the fixed screw
• Error:
o < 5bar, ±0.3bar
o > 5bar, ± 0.5bar
• For example:
How to maintain and check the Back pressure valve / Relief valve error:
Error |
Reason |
How to handle |
Membrance leak |
Membrane tightening screw is not tight |
Tighten the screws |
Pressure drops below the set point |
Valve seat/seal is faulty |
Check valve seat/seal |
Pressure exceeds the set point |
Piston is stuck due to residue, garbage, etc. or installed in the wrong direction |
Cleaning Change into correct direction |
Leakage in adjusting screw |
Membrance is torn |
Replace new membrance |
